New combo therapy trial offers hope for HIV patients with advanced cancers
NCT ID NCT04514484
Summary
This is a small, early-stage safety study testing a combination of two cancer drugs, nivolumab and cabozantinib, in people living with HIV who have advanced solid tumors. The main goal is to see if the two-drug combination is safe and tolerable for this specific patient group. Researchers will also check if the treatment can shrink or stabilize cancers, with a special focus on a type called Kaposi sarcoma.
