This study tests if the drug levetiracetam can prevent epileptic seizures in 120 adults over 40 with Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 96 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug can stop seizures and possibly slow brain decline.
