Summary
This study tests whether helping people sleep better for four weeks before knee or hip replacement surgery can reduce pain and speed up recovery afterward. One hundred adults with insomnia symptoms will receive either a brief sleep therapy or sleep education before their operation. Researchers will track pain, sleep quality, and recovery for a year after surgery.
