This trial tests whether a wearable device emitting near-infrared light during sleep can improve sleep quality and reduce the need for sedative-hypnotic medications in adults with chronic insomnia. Sixty adults who use sleeping pills at least four nights a week will use either the active light device or an inactive sham device while sleeping for eight weeks.
