New pill-and-immunotherapy cocktail takes on advanced tumors

NCT ID NCT06362369

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests an experimental oral drug called Alintegimod (7HP349) combined with two standard immunotherapies (ipilimumab and nivolumab) in people with advanced solid tumors like melanoma, lung, kidney, and liver cancers. The trial has two parts: first, finding a safe dose (phase 1b), then comparing the combo against standard treatment (phase 2a). About 126 participants will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and helps shrink tumors.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Alintegimod (oral drug) combined with ipilimumab and nivolumab (immunotherapies)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced cancers that have not responded to prior therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (phase 1b/2a) with a small number of participants, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven. There is a risk of side effects from the drug combination.
