First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether foot-ankle exercises or walking exercises can help people with type 2 diabetes who have nerve problems in their feet. 375 adults with diabetes were split into three groups: one did foot-ankle exercises, one did walking, and one received only standard care. Researchers measured foot sensation, stress, quality of life, blood sugar, blood pressure, and body mass index at the start, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks to see if the exercises made a difference.
