New drug combo aims to shed pounds and control diabetes

Summary
This study tests two experimental drugs, macupatide and eloralintide, alone or together, to help adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes lose weight. About 200 participants will receive the drugs or a placebo for 48 weeks. The main goal is to see how much weight they lose and how their blood sugar changes.
