First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether adding TECAR therapy or shock wave therapy to standard treatment can better reduce leg swelling in severely obese women with lymphedema. Forty-five women took part, receiving either standard care alone or standard care plus one of the extra therapies for four weeks. Researchers measured changes in leg size, pain, and quality of life at the start, after treatment, and at an eight-week follow-up.
