First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a targeted screening approach to detect undiagnosed heart failure in 706 adults aged 40+ with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who also have additional heart risk factors. Participants are randomly assigned to receive the screening or usual care, and researchers track how many are diagnosed with heart failure within 6 months. The goal is to catch heart failure early so treatment can start sooner.
