First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using just one blood thinner (single antiplatelet therapy) is safer and as effective as two blood thinners (dual antiplatelet therapy) in older adults or people with high bleeding risk who have had a heart procedure using a drug-coated balloon. About 576 participants will be followed for 12 months to compare rates of heart events and bleeding. The goal is to find the best way to prevent complications while reducing bleeding risks.
