First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study is testing whether semaglutide (a drug used for diabetes and weight loss) can improve psoriasis when added to a standard topical cream. About 62 adults with plaque psoriasis who are overweight or have type 2 diabetes will take either semaglutide or a placebo pill for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure skin clearing, quality of life, and blood markers of inflammation to see if the drug helps control the disease.
