New daily pill aims to tackle both obesity and knee arthritis pain

Summary
This study tests a once-daily pill called orforglipron in 800 people who are overweight or have obesity and also have painful knee osteoarthritis. The goal is to see if the drug helps with both weight loss and knee pain over about 74 weeks. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the study drug or a placebo, and neither they nor their doctors will know which they are taking.
