Summary
This is a long-term observational study that aims to understand how heart and blood vessel diseases develop in people before they show symptoms. It follows over 6,400 healthy men and women from four different ethnic backgrounds, aged 45-84, using regular scans and tests over many years. The goal is to identify the early warning signs and risk factors that predict who will later develop serious heart problems like heart attacks or strokes.
