Massive 48,000-Person study hunts for clues to predict diabetes heart and kidney damage
NCT ID NCT05282680
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with diabetes develop serious heart and kidney problems while others do not. Researchers are collecting detailed health information and blood samples from 48,000 people with diabetes in Hong Kong to look for genetic and other biological markers. The goal is to find patterns that can help predict who is at highest risk for these complications, which could lead to earlier, more personalized care in the future.
