NCT ID NCT05724953

First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested a smartphone-based program to help veterans with serious mental illness (like PTSD, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia) who struggle to recognize their own emotions—a condition called alexithymia. The goal was to see if improving emotion awareness could lower suicide risk. The study was small (11 participants) and ended early, so results are limited.
