NCT ID NCT03261505

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at how video-guided acupuncture imagery treatment (VGAIT) changes brain activity in people with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers used brain scans to compare real acupuncture, sham acupuncture, and guided imagery in 125 adults aged 40-70. The goal was to understand the brain mechanisms behind mind-body interactions and imagery, not to test a new treatment.
