Summary
This study tested three approaches to treat vestibulodynia, a long-term vulvar pain condition that affects about 1 in 6 women. 209 women received either a numbing cream, an oral medication, both, or a placebo to see which worked best for pain relief. The goal was to help women and their doctors choose the most effective treatment.
