First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of medication (naltrexone/bupropion, also known as Contrave) and behavioral weight-loss counseling can help people who experience loss-of-control eating after bariatric surgery. About 160 adults who had gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy about six months ago will receive either the medication, counseling, both, or a placebo. The goal is to reduce binge-eating episodes and improve weight loss.
