New gel could speed healing of stubborn leg wounds
NCT ID NCT06707090
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This Phase 3 trial tests whether a gel called TR987, applied to the skin, can help heal chronic leg ulcers caused by poor blood flow. About 312 adults with venous leg ulcers will receive either the gel plus standard wound care or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if the gel leads to complete wound closure within 16 weeks.
