Summary

This study tests whether partially replacing animal protein with plant protein in the diet can improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes who are overweight or obese. Over 24 weeks, 146 adults will follow either a plant-based diet or a standard healthy diet. The main goal is to see if the plant-based diet leads to better long-term blood sugar levels.
