New toolkit helps Alzheimer's caregivers decode pain

Summary

This study tests a training program called PICT for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's or related dementias. The program teaches caregivers how to notice signs of pain and communicate better with doctors. About 440 caregivers will take part, and the goal is to reduce caregiver burden and improve pain management for their loved ones.
