New brain scan dye tested as safer alternative
NCT ID NCT06322342
Summary
This study tested a new MRI contrast agent called RVP-001, which uses manganese instead of gadolinium, to see if it could safely and effectively detect lesions in the brain and central nervous system. It involved 18 adults with known conditions like brain tumors or multiple sclerosis. Researchers compared images from the new agent to standard gadolinium-based scans to see if it worked just as well for visualizing problem areas.
