First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the antibiotic minocycline to usual antidepressants can help people who have both obesity and treatment-resistant depression. Researchers believe that inflammation may play a role in these conditions, and minocycline can reduce inflammation. The study will enroll 35 adults with high inflammation levels and track how many complete the 8-week treatment and all study procedures.
