Can skipping meals help your pancreas? new diabetes study investigates

NCT ID NCT05717127

Summary

This study tested whether intermittent fasting (eating only during specific time windows) could improve how the pancreas works in people with early type 2 diabetes. Researchers enrolled 51 adults recently diagnosed with diabetes to see if this eating pattern could help the pancreas produce insulin better. The goal was to find a lifestyle approach that might slow diabetes progression by targeting the organ's function directly.
