Summary

This study follows 1500 people with heart failure who have an implantable defibrillator (ICD) to prevent sudden cardiac death. Researchers want to learn why some people are at higher risk than others by looking at heart structure, electrical signals, genetics, and blood proteins. The goal is to better identify who truly benefits from having an ICD replaced.
