First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at how a mix of step-aerobic and resistance training affects the knee joint in postmenopausal women with mild knee osteoarthritis. 103 women were split into two groups: one did the special exercise program, and the other followed standard home exercises. Researchers used advanced imaging to measure changes in cartilage and bone over 8 months of exercise and a 12-month follow-up.
