Summary

This study looked at how laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, a common weight-loss surgery, affects blood levels of a hormone called Phoenixin-14, which may influence appetite. Researchers measured this hormone in 36 adults with severe obesity before and after surgery. The goal was to better understand the link between this hormone, obesity, and insulin resistance.
