New pill aims to ease nerve pain after spinal cord injury

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a new drug called EC5026 is safe and can reduce nerve pain in people with spinal cord injury. About 36 adults with pain from traumatic or non-traumatic spinal cord injury will take either the drug or a placebo daily for 14 days. Researchers will monitor side effects and measure changes in pain, sleep, and daily function.
