Invisible sensor tracks Alzheimer's patients at home
NCT ID NCT05245903
Summary
This study aims to see if a small, contactless device placed in the bedroom can detect subtle changes in sleep patterns, walking speed, and daily activity in people with mild memory problems or early Alzheimer's disease. About 40 participants will have the device monitor them at home for 12 weeks while they take a dietary supplement called nicotinamide riboside. The main goal is to find new digital signs (biomarkers) related to brain energy changes, not to test if the supplement is a cure.
