Summary

This study tested several simple bedside tests—like ankle and toe blood pressure measurements and handheld Dopplers—to see how well they detect poor leg circulation (peripheral arterial disease) in 604 people with diabetes. The results were compared to advanced imaging scans (CTA or MRA). The goal is to find the most accurate and cost-effective way to diagnose circulation problems early and prevent leg amputations.
