Cool roofs could beat the heat and boost health

Summary

This study tests if special reflective roof coatings can lower indoor temperatures and improve health in hot regions. About 3,200 people living in poor housing in Burkina Faso, Mexico, India, Niue, and Fiji will take part. Researchers will measure heart rate, blood sugar, mood, and other health factors to see if cool roofs help.
