Smart cell therapy aims to target advanced cancers while sparing healthy tissue

Summary
This study is testing a new type of personalized cell therapy for adults with advanced solid tumors that have come back or spread. The therapy, called Tmod CAR T, is designed to recognize and kill cancer cells while using a built-in safety switch to protect the patient's healthy cells. The first phase of the study will find a safe dose, and the second phase will see how well that dose works to shrink tumors in people with cancers like colorectal, lung, pancreatic, and ovarian cancer.
