First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a bone-marrow concentrate injection during routine back surgery can help heal spinal discs better. About 90 adults with herniated discs will either get surgery alone or surgery plus the injection. Researchers will use MRI scans and pain surveys over two years to see if the injection improves disc health and reduces pain.
