Computer tool spots early Alzheimer's in routine doctor visits
NCT ID NCT07016178
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether a computer tool that scans electronic health records can identify older adults (65+) who may have undetected mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease. Researchers then used patient-friendly messages to encourage these individuals to get a cognitive check-up with a specially trained nurse. The goal was to see if this approach could help more people get diagnosed and connected to research and care.
