This long-term study aims to understand how hidden, early-stage heart disease (atherosclerosis) develops and progresses to major events like heart attacks or strokes. It follows over 6,400 adults from four different ethnic backgrounds who started the study with no known heart disease. Researchers use regular check-ups and advanced scans to track changes over time and identify the risk factors that matter most.
