NCT ID NCT03892265

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study follows about 3,000 adults in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, for up to 7 years to learn how common heart disease risk factors like high blood pressure, diabetes, and smoking are, and how they lead to heart attacks, strokes, and other problems. Participants give blood, stool, and urine samples for future research. The goal is to better understand heart health in Haiti, not to test a new treatment.
