NCT ID NCT04298203
First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of two medications, phentermine and topiramate, can help teenagers with severe obesity avoid regaining weight after losing it. About 100 teens aged 12 to 18 will first follow a meal replacement plan to lose weight, then take either the medication or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug can counteract the body's natural tendency to regain weight and improve overall health.
