First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study follows 234 people who regained weight after a sleeve gastrectomy and are now getting a revision surgery. The goal is to compare three procedures—SADI-S, RYGB, and OAGB—to see which leads to the most weight loss, fewest complications, and best nutritional outcomes. Participants must have a BMI around 45 and have regained weight after their first surgery.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could identify the best revision surgery for people who regain weight after sleeve gastrectomy, improving long-term weight control.
