Can a short video replace genetic counseling? study seeks answers

NCT ID NCT05225428

Summary

This study is testing whether a short educational video can be a good alternative to standard genetic counseling for patients with certain cancers. Researchers want to see if the video helps people understand their risk for hereditary cancers and makes genetic testing information more accessible, especially for Black and Latinx patients. They will compare the video approach to traditional counseling in about 1,000 participants.
