First seen May 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study will test a new diagnostic device called the Nanopath assay, which aims to quickly detect bacteria or yeast causing vaginitis. Up to 1000 women with symptoms like itching or discharge will provide vaginal swab samples, either collected by a clinician or themselves. The goal is to see how well the new test compares to existing FDA-cleared tests.
