First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eating only during a specific window each day (time-restricted eating) combined with short, intense exercise (high-intensity interval training) can improve health markers in people with metabolic syndrome. 200 overweight or obese adults with metabolic syndrome took part for 16 weeks. Researchers measured changes in metabolic syndrome components, body composition, and fitness to see if these lifestyle changes help control the condition.
