First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new, non-invasive brain stimulation method called temporal interference (TI) to reduce seizures in people with drug-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy. Thirty adults aged 18-65 who have at least two seizures per month despite taking two or more anti-epileptic drugs will receive TI stimulation targeting the hippocampus for five days. The main goal is to see if this approach safely lowers seizure frequency over one month.
