First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using telemedicine (video or phone calls) helps people with hard-to-heal leg wounds in rural areas see a specialist faster than going in person. About 116 adults with leg ulcers from conditions like diabetes or poor blood flow took part. Researchers measured how quickly patients got a specialist consultation and tracked wound healing times.
