Summary
This study tests whether a once-weekly injection of semaglutide can limit weight gain in adults with overweight or obesity who are quitting smoking. About 197 participants will receive the drug or a placebo, and researchers will measure changes in body weight, body composition, and appetite control. The goal is to find a way to support smoking cessation without the unwanted weight gain that often follows.
