New hope for failed Weight-Loss surgery: simpler bypass shows promise
NCT ID NCT05242835
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at people who had a sleeve gastrectomy but didn't lose enough weight or regained it. It compares a newer, simpler surgery (SADI-S) to a more complex one (BPD-DS) to see which works better and has fewer side effects. About 151 adults will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries and followed for a year.
