Robots vs. surgeons: which knee replacement works better?

NCT ID NCT03519269

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares two types of knee replacement surgery: the standard method and a newer robotic-assisted technique. Researchers want to see if the robotic approach leads to better pain relief, movement, and overall function for people with severe knee arthritis. About 86 adults between 40 and 85 years old will take part, and their progress will be tracked with questionnaires and physical tests.
