First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is for people with locally advanced rectal cancer that hasn't spread. It tests whether adding an immunotherapy drug (PD-1 inhibitor) to a standard treatment plan (short-course radiation plus chemotherapy and targeted therapy) can lead to a complete disappearance of the cancer. About 104 participants will receive either the standard combination or the standard plus immunotherapy to see which works better and is safe.
