First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at 700 people with atrial fibrillation and heart failure to compare two types of catheter ablation: a newer method called pulsed-field ablation and an established one called cryoballoon ablation. The goal was to see if the newer method is as safe and effective at controlling heart rhythm. Both treatments aim to reduce the risk of hospital visits and improve outcomes in this high-risk group.
