First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study followed 1290 adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes for two years to see how mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and eating problems relate to blood sugar control. Participants completed surveys, interviews, and daily smartphone check-ins about mood and stress, while also wearing continuous glucose monitors. The goal is to identify different mental health subtypes in diabetes, so future treatments can be tailored to each person's needs.
