Summary

This study is a national registry in China that will track 500 women who experience an aortic dissection (a tear in the main artery) during pregnancy or within 12 weeks after giving birth. Researchers will collect information on treatments and outcomes for both mothers and babies to better understand this rare but life-threatening condition. The goal is to improve future care and survival.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this registry could provide crucial data to guide better treatment decisions and improve survival for pregnant women with aortic dissection.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly test a new therapy. Results may not apply outside China.
